On June 21-22, the Ministry of Public Order and Safety organized a two-day interactive peacebuilding training for fifty-three (53) vulnerable former combatants from Camp Bushra and Camp Jabal Nur at Ragayan Training Center, Marantao, Lanao del Sur. The participants are members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front – Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (MILF-BIAF) who have not been included in the list of decommissioned or to be decommissioned combatants under normalization component of the peace process between Philippine Government and MILF.
At the end of the training, the Ministry provided financial assistance worth of Php 10,000 to vulnerable former combatants in aid of their livelihood and community integration as peace advocates of their respective communities.
