Earlier in the day, the European delegates headed by Jakub Urbank – European External Action Service Officer conducted a courtesy call-meeting with the Honorable Minister Hussein P. Munoz of the Ministry of Public Order and Safety. This is a part of EU’s Exploratory Mission to Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to assess the possibilities of providing support to the Ministries. Moreover, the EU is firm in its commitment to support the MPOS “capacity building” program that would enhance both the administrative and technical capability of the Ministry’s personnel and staff.  However, since this Ministry is new and yet to be legislated –both parties agree that there should be a need for a further and thorough study before designing the program. The External Action Service also added on his message that while there will be challenges along the way, they will still commit as one of the active supporting actor of this critical time of transition both short term and long term plans. This day marks as new chapter of partnerships between the MPOS and EU since the BARMM takes over ARMM.
