Every March 5, MPOS commemorates the endilible memories of the “Bud Dajo Massacre” perpetrated by the US Armed Forces in Sulu on March 5-8, 1906, resulting to the deaths of about 600 Moro (Tausug) individuals, including innocent women and children.
This untoward incident is marked as one of the unforgettable historical events in the Bangsamoro History that sparked the Bangsamoro to persist for the recognition of its right to self-determination.
MPOS, as the implementing arm of the Bangsamoro in peacebuilding, reconciliation, and unification, leads the commemoration of the Bangsamoro History Month.
