The Peace Building Initiative is the lead program of MPOS in fostering different peace efforts in the region.This includes support to normalization, different listening and dialogue sessions, and support to vulnerable combatants, widows and orphans of violent extremists previously identified as local insurgents, and those that are neglected, vulnerable and/or marginalized institutions. Furthermore, the program will complement and intensify efforts to sustain peace in the region initially through recognizing and empowering grassroots peace champions, involving different youths in conflict affected and vulnerable communities in fellowship activities, localization of the National Action Plan on Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism (NAP-PCVE), and lastly the establishment and operationalization of the Bangsamoro Peace Institute (BPI).
