After an enduring period of 53 years originating in 1970, the conflict between two prominent families in Buldon, Maguindanao del Norte (MDN) has ultimately come to an end on August 9, 2023 in Brgy. Dinganen, Buldon Municipality, Maguindanao Del Norte.
By means of an amicable agreement between the feuding families, the confrontation and long-standing retaliation that had persisted between them for half a century have been concluded, opening the path to a newly established unity. The successful and tranquil rido settlement was made possible through the combined intervention of the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS), the Local Government Unit of Buldon Municipality MDN, the Iranun Reconciliation Council (IRC), Alternative Dispute Resolution Team (ADRT), and concerned individuals, organizations, and groups of the community.

Pahmia Aratuc Manalao-Masurong during her address. She also expressed her steadfast support for the rido settlement program of the Ministry to further champion peace and order in their municipality.
Furthermore, the ceremony encompassed the signing of a comprehensive agreement that carries mutual benefits. This was accompanied by a solemn swearing-in of the Holy Quran by the participating families. Subsequently, a ceremonial exchange of embraces and handshakes ensued, serving as a symbolic representation of the official resolution of the long-standing dispute.
This significant achievement stands as evidence of the successful collaborative endeavors undertaken by various stakeholders united by a common shared goal: the cultivation of enduring and sustainable peace as well as public safety in the Bangsamoro region. The Ministry, with its key partners, will remain committed to its mandate of promoting peacebuilding, reconciliation, and unification within BARMM communities.
