The 5th Local Mediators Vehicle of TDIF Program, one unit funded by Office of MP Atty. Lanang T. Ali, Jr. under its Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF), was officially turned over to the Unified Southern Mindanao Civil Society in Cotabato City Organizations, yesterday, November 13, 2023.
The Unified Southern Mindanao Civil Society Organizations, a recognized entity in the Sarangani Province, has been selected as the beneficiary of this vehicle to bolster their initiatives in peacebuilding and local mediations. Tommy Japal Nawa, speaking on behalf of the organization, highlighted their extensive operations spanning three provinces and three cities. The vehicle is expected to significantly aid in their mobilizations. “𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘢 𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘪𝘺𝘰. 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪,” said Mr. Nawa.
Director-General Atty. Al-Rashid L. Balt emphasized during his message that the mandate of MPOS goes beyond rido settlement, encompassing comprehensive peacebuilding programs. He acknowledged the alignment of these efforts with the impactful work carried out by the Unified Southern Mindanao Civil Society, making them deserving recipients of the vehicle. MPOS also expressed gratitude to the Office of MP Ali for funding the program, extending assistance to Bangsamoro Communities beyond the region.
Meanwhile, the sponsor of the vehicle, MP Atty. Ali Jr., conveyed his appreciation to MPOS for the program’s success.
