Talipao, Sulu| The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) through the Community Affairs Officer in Sulu in partnership with the Municipal Local Government Unit of Talipao, PNP- Municipal Police Station, 6th SF Company the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Sulu Local Mediators, religious and community leaders and family members of the involved parties were convened to finally put to rest the almost seven (7) long years family dispute between two prominent families in the area. The rido settlement was held on Thursday (January 26) at the Municipal Hall of Talipao, Sulu.
The rido (family feud) started on the year 2015 and resulted in displacement, damage to properties, and loss of lives. Due to its harmful impact on the community, MPOS and its partners initiated a concerted effort to address and resolve the dispute.

Talipao Municipal Administrator Hadji Abejar-I T. Sahimmari said during the rido settlement ceremony.
The settlement ended with the signing of an amicable settlement, stating the non-recurrence of any violence from both parties, followed by ceremonial handshaking and kanduli (celebration).
Rido Settlement is one of the major programs of the Ministry towards ensuring a safe, secure, and peaceful Bangsamoro.
