In the continuous pursuit of maintaining and achieving a long-lasting peace in the region, the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) recently paid a courtesy visit turned coordinative meeting with the Police Regional Office – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) to discuss the current peace and order situation in BARMM. This significant event took place on June 13, 2023, at the esteemed premises of Camp B.Gen Salipada K. Pendatun, situated in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.
PRO-BAR PLTCOL Edmond S. Tamson delivered a comprehensive comparative presentation on the current state of peace and order in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), saying, “𝘒𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘯𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘨 2022, 𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘵𝘢 𝘱𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵 𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯 2023 𝘯𝘢 𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯. 𝘐𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘰 𝘯𝘪𝘺𝘢𝘯, 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘢𝘩𝘶𝘭𝘪 𝘢𝘵 𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘯.”
Following the discussion, MPOS’ Development Management Officer V Bhenhar Ayob provided reassurance that the Ministry would maintain regular communication with PRO-BAR and other relevant stakeholders. “𝘐𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘧𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴 𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘌𝘊𝘋 (𝘓𝘢𝘸 𝘌𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘊𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯) 𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘓𝘌𝘈𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳,” he said during the coordinative meeting.
Moreover, establishing and maintaining open lines of communication between the BARMM government through MPOS, PRO-BAR, and other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) will facilitate the exchange of crucial information and will enable swift responses to emerging security and safety concerns in the region.
The Ministry’s initiative is aligned with one of its major programs, known as CLEAR (Coordination with Law Enforcement Agencies in the Region). This program aimed to facilitate the efficient sharing of significant information concerning the peace and order situation in a timely manner. By implementing CLEAR, the Ministry endeavors to enhance coordination among various law enforcement agencies, thereby fostering a more secure and orderly environment within the region.
