The Ministry of Public Order and Safety, through the Manili Rehabilitation Project-Special Development Fund, conducted the Phase II of Livelihood Training on Vermicompost and Vermiculture Production for the members of Manili Life Producers Cooperative (MLPC), held at Sitio Bual, Barangay Manili, Carmen, North Cotabato, on July 19–20, 2023.

The said intervention was made possible through the collaborative effort of the Barangay Local Government of Barangay Manili, Carmen, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) through Mr. Mantingan Amolan Abdullah, Field Coordinator of Pigcawayan Cluster, and Special Geographic Area Development Authority.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Amalia Nagli, a member of the cooperative, reminisced about her unfortunate experience during the Manili massacre in 1971, which served as her driving force in aiming for a better living for the members. “𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘶𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 in 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨. Furthermore, the cooperative members initially determined vermicompost and vermiculture production as a timely and relevant training suitable for improving their business functioning to produce quality products. With this, Mr. Mantingan Amolan Abdullah of MAFAR Field Coordinator, provided an in-depth explanation and demonstration of the actual production of vermicompost and vermiculture production cages to educate the coop members on the appropriate set-up and proper handling to obtain a beneficial result.
One of the dedicated members of the MLPC expressed his gratitude to the MPOS and its various partners. “𝘈 𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘖𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘉𝘈𝘙𝘔𝘔 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦-𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.
