On July 27, 2023, officials from the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS), headed by Director General Atty. Al-Rashid Balt, engaged in a crucial coordinative meeting with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) presided by Undersecretary for Peace and Order, Oscar F. Valenzuela, along with other key officers from various Bureaus, Divisions, and law enforcement agencies under the DILG. The meeting was convened at the PNP Star Lounge in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The collaborative meeting, facilitated with the support of the Support for Bangsamoro Transition (SUBATRA), aimed to bolster the capabilities of the BARMM Regional government institutions and foster a democratic governance environment between the Bangsamoro government and the National Government.
The meeting served as a platform for constructive discussions on matters related to public order and safety, aiming to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two vital government entities.
The outcomes of this significant gathering are expected to serve as foundational elements for the development of essential policy issuances and recommendations at both the regional and national levels.
