The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) provided immediate financial assistance to the twenty (20) members of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter who have returned to the folds of law. Each of the Former Local Insurgent (FLI) received P5,000 each during the ceremonial turn-over spearheaded by the 6th Infantry Brigade of the 6th Infantry Division last March 25, 2024 at Brgy. Buayan, Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur.
In her message of support, Peace Education Division Chief Ms. Sittie Janine M. Gamao shared that, “𝘈𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘬-𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘣 𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘪 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘯𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺𝘢 𝘢𝘵 𝘬𝘰𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘥 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯. 𝘉𝘶𝘬𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘗𝘖𝘚 𝘯𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘰, 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘥𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘺 𝘯𝘢 𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘥𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘢𝘯”.
The said assistance is part of the Ministry’s program to extend its services to support the FLIs in their return to the folds of law. To continue the effort, these Former Local Insurgents (FLIs) will be enrolled in the interventions of MPOS – becoming partners in sustaining peace in their respective communities.
