Cotabato City| The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS)-BARMM enlightened the hearts and minds of its employees with an Islamic Symposium and Qur’an Reading Contest under the theme “Transformative Ramadhan: Cultivating Values for Personal and Social Change.” This significant event, held in observance of the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1445 AH, aimed to deepen the participants’ understanding of Islamic teachings and foster spiritual growth. The activity was held at the SB Function Hall in Cotabato City on April 4, 2024.

The program commenced with a Qur’an Reading Contest, featuring representatives from various divisions, sections, and units within the Ministry. Participants showcased their recitation skills, demonstrating their dedication to spiritual practices during this sacred month.
Ustadz Faisal Kalim Dacungan, the esteemed Mudir of Mahad Alil Amir Islamic Institute, Inc., captivated the audience with his insightful Muhadara on nurturing children in Islam. Participants eagerly participated in an interactive session following the discourse, engaging in profound discussions and seeking enlightenment.
One of the participants, Mr. Salman P. Omar, Administrative Assistant from the Ministry’s Cash Section, shared his joy and gratitude for the enlightening discussions. “𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺. The event culminated in a ceremony to honor and award the participants and winners of the Qur’an Reading Contest. Their commitment and enthusiasm in embracing the spirit of Ramadhan were commendable and reflective of the values upheld by MPOS.
Through this initiative, MPOS reaffirmed its commitment to promoting spiritual enlightenment and fostering a culture of unity and growth among its employees, echoing the profound values of Ramadhan.
