The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) continues its dedicated and committed service to the Bangsamoro by empowering 39 local community members coming from the municipalities of Shariff Aguak, Shariff Saydona Mustapha, Mamasapano, and Datu Unsay through its on-going series of Early Warning and Early Response (EWER) Training Program held at the Nereland Resort and Events Place, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte last June 18-22, 2024.
This training series highlights the importance of proactive measures and the significant impact of early intervention by focusing on the responsibilities of each government agency involved in conflict resolution, the sessions aim to build a cohesive and effective response network.
Rasid Sabpa a participant of the series of EWER Trainings expressed how the activities impacted his demeanor when it comes to conflict reporting, “𝘚𝘢 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨, 𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴, 𝘯𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘩𝘪𝘺𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘢 𝘢𝘬𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘱 𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘢𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘰 𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴 𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘣 𝘬𝘰. The series of EWER trainings is part of the Ministry’s flagship initiatives under the program Community-Driven Safety and Security and was made possible through the collaborative efforts with Magungaya Mindanao Incorporated, Nonviolence Peaceforce and International Organization for Migrations.
