The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) performed a pivotal role in facilitating a successful Rido Settlement in Barangay Barurao, Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao del Sur on July 1, 2024.
Recognizing the importance of conflict resolution for community well-being, MPOS actively promotes peaceful solutions. The recent settlement exemplifies the Ministry’s commitment in utilizing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as a preventive measure to address horizontal conflicts in BARMM.
Ustads Rajamuda Dading, Political Committee Chairman from Sultan Sa Barongis, Maguindanao Del-Sur, emphasized the importance of peace during the settlement. “𝘈 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴. 𝘞𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘮. 𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘶𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, 𝘯𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭.” He stated.
The successful Rido Settlement underscored MPOS’ relentless dedication and commitment to compliment and support the Bangsamoro Government’s pursuit of peacebuilding, reconciliation, and unification.
