Mohammad Ajul, Basilan | The Ministry of Public Order and Safety led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Bangsamoro Cultural Peace Center at Mohammad Ajul Municipality in Basilan on July 31, 2024. The said activity is under the TDIF (Transition Development Impact Fund) Program of BTA Member of Parliament Hon. Hatimil Hassan.
The Bangsamoro Cultural Peace Center is anticipated to significantly impact Basilan’s socio-cultural environment by serving as a hub for diverse cultural activities and encouraging harmony and mutual respect among various ethnic communities. The center is planned to organize workshops, cultural events, and educational initiatives to promote peace and foster mutual understanding.
The event was graced by the local government unit, barangay officials, and community leaders of Mohammad Ajul Municipality, emphasizing their joint dedication to promoting peace and progress in the area. During the ceremony, Mr. Tariq Hassan, representing MP Hatimil Hassan, conveyed a message of gratitude and recognized the backing of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and other collaborators who have played a role in bringing this project to fruition.

Furthermore, the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Cultural Peace Center in Mohammad Ajul Municipality was a significant event showcasing the dedication of local leaders and the community to creating a peaceful and culturally dynamic environment.
The Bangsamoro Peace Centers will serve as a safe space for learning and supporting peace and development initiatives that will encourage the stimulation of a culture of peace, diversity, and peacebuilding in their respective communities.
