In a significant display of support for law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) recently handed over a set of Solar Street Lights to the Tawi-Tawi Police Provincial Office (TTPPO). The turnover ceremony took place on May 29, 2023, at Camp Alejandro Suarez in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
During the event, a Deed of Donation for the Solar Street Lights was signed by representatives from MPOS through Community Affairs Officer III Mr. Rajib Mohammadsaid, and the Tawi-Tawi Police Provincial Office through Acting Provincial Director PCOL Richard B. Basco.
PCOL Richard B. Basco conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to MPOS and assured that his office would do their utmost to fulfill their role as counterparts. Expressing his satisfaction. “𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘔𝘗𝘖𝘚 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺.” He also guaranteed that the solar street lights would be installed according to the agreed-upon plan.
MPOS’ Community Affairs Officer Mr. Rajib Mohammadsaid expressed his deep appreciation for the partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP). He also emphasized the significance of his membership in the Provincial Advisory Council (PAC).

The provision of the solar street lights was made possible through the “Support to Law Enforcement Agencies Project” of the Law Enforcement Coordination Division (LECD) – Home Affairs Services (HAS) of the Ministry of Public Order and Safety. The partnership between MPOS and the Tawi-Tawi Police Provincial Office exemplifies the commitment to maintaining public order and safety in the region.
