On November 8, 2023, the Ministry of Public Order and Safety – BARMM, in partnership with the Office of Former MP Narciso Co Yu Ekey, officially turned over another mediator vehicle to the Local Government Unit of Cotabato City.
In his speech, City Mayor Mohammad Ali “Bruce” Matabalao expressed his appreciation, saying, “𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘷𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘎𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵.”
Former MP Ekey also expressed his gratitude, saying, “𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘢𝘬𝘰 𝘢𝘵 𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘬𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘰𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘥.”
The local mediator vehicle is part of the TDIF Programs of the Ministry, funded by former MP Ekey, and is intended to be used for mobilizing local mediators to further settlements of conflicts.
