As a newly created government office, the ministry is now gaining considerable momentum in initiating advocacy campaigns, activities and strategies to generate and win the support of the Bangsamoro people. The ministry recognizes the great contribution of peace advocates who extraordinarily committed in the quest to sustain the gains of peace in the region. Hence, the ministry is delighted to recognize their efforts through the program “Bangsamoro Peace Champions 2020”. The primary scope of the BPC 2020 are exemplary individuals who dedicated their time and resources to peace efforts, initiatives and activities whose purpose is to contribute in developing, improving and strengthening the peace environment in their communities and areas within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. The applicants/nominees underwent three rigid stages of selection screening to ensure they imbibe the core values of being a Bangsamoro Peace Champion and the ministry’s ambassador of peace in the region. The judges are composed of peace advocacy experts on the field of academe, non-government organization, national awardee in the field of volunteerism and a respected member of the BTA parliament. One of the FIVE FINALISTS will have the opportunity to be named as the Bangsamoro Peace Champion 2020 and received P50,000 cash reward. The awarding ceremony will be held on December 28, 2020, 1:00pm at 3/F Alnor Convention Center, Cotabato City BARMM. Public viewing of the finalists’ video documentary will be shown in the morning, 9:00am, in the same location.
