Cotabato City, BARMM | Mr. Mahadudin P. Sumpingan of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority — Office of MP Mangudadatu bested 17 other participants in the first-ever “Tagisan ng Talino: An Inter-Agency Bangsamoro History Quiz Bee” held at Al Nor Convention Center Hall 2, Cotabato City.
In the difficult round, Mr. Sumpingan garnered 75 points, one question ahead of the 1st runner-up Nezzar U. Ali of Mindanao State University-Maguindanao, and took home Php10,000 cash prize and a plaque of recognition from the Ministry of Public Order and Safety.
Meanwhile, Ms. Ali and 2nd runner-up Ms. Farissa I. Abbas of MSU–Maguindanao received Php 7,000 and Php 5,000 cash prize and plaque, respectively.
Participants from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) , Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) , Ministry of Public Works (MPW) , Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) , Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), Bangsamoro Women’s Commission (BWC) , BARMM national high schools, universities, and organizations, all came to compete in the said quiz bee.
The MPOS event is in partnership with the Bangsamoro Youth Commission and the Bangsamoro Government, as part of the observance of the Bangsamoro History Month under Proclamation No. 0001, s. 2021, to recognize and promote awareness of the significant Bangsamoro historical narratives in pursuit of peace and the Bangsamoro right to self-determination.
