On April 23, 2024, a peaceful and solemn rido settlement (conflict reconciliation) was held at the Lamitan City Gymnasium in Lamitan City, Basilan. This gathering stands as a pivotal moment in the ongoing endeavor to reconcile longstanding disputes among involved parties. Through constructive dialogue and mediated discussions, the resolution of the conflict was successfully achieved through the facilitation of the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS)-BARMM, marking a significant milestone in the path towards reconciliation in Basilan province, BARMM.
MILF-CCCH Chairman Hji. Samad Atain reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to aiding in the resolution of rido cases in the province. Capt. Brent Dacquigan (INF) PA, emphasized the significance of these initiatives aimed at nurturing peace and unity among communities in Basilan and the wider BARMM region.
