On June 30, 2023, a peaceful rido settlement ceremony was held at Bravo Company, 18th Infantry Battalion, 101ST Infantry Brigade, Brgy Bohe Baca, in the Tipo-Tipo Municipality of Basilan Province.
This milestone occasion marked the successful resolution of a longstanding feud between two families, thanks to the remarkable intervention of the Local Government Unit of Tipo-Tipo led by the esteemed Mayor Patarasa Istarul in partnership with the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) Community Affairs Officers in Basilan, MILF-BIAF, Bravo Company, 18th Infantry Battalion, 101ST Infantry Brigade, PNP- Municipal Police Station of Tipo -Tipo, Basilan Local Alternative Dispute Resolution Association (BLADRAI), religious leaders and family representatives.
On behalf of Mayor Arcam Patarasa Istarul, ABC President Jamil T. Lintaran expressed his deep appreciation for the invaluable support extended by MPOS and its partners. During the ceremonious event, Company Commander 1LT Aurelio Fergene D. Torres of Bravo Company, 18th Infantry Battalion, 101ST Infantry Brigade delivered a thought-provoking statement, shedding light on the importance of addressing community conflicts without delay.
