Cotabato City| The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) convened the Provincial Heads and representatives of the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) from Maguindanao del Norte (MDN) province in a coordinative meeting. This is to foster closer coordination and collaboration in maintaining public safety in the Bangsamoro region. The meeting took place at Em Manor Hotel and Convention Center in Cotabato City on May 30, 2023.
The coordinative meeting involved representatives from various LEAs including the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
The primary objective of the meeting was to engage the LEAs in a comprehensive discussion on the current peace situation in the province, exchange crucial information, and develop effective strategies that would guarantee the safety and security of the Bangsamoro community.
In a statement during the coordinative meeting, Atty. Al-Rashid L. Balt, the MPOS’ Director-General reassured the participants that the well-being and protection of the Bangsamoro people remain the top priority of the Ministry.

The Ministry reaffirms its steadfast commitment to extend its ongoing support to the law enforcement agencies in their collective efforts to maintain the peace and security in the Bangsamoro region.
