Another forty (40) local community members from the Municipalities of Maguindanao del Sur Province particularly in Talitay, Ampatuan, Sultan Sa Barongis and Rajah Buayan engaged to Community-Driven Safety and Security: Early Warning, Early Response Training held at Pearl A Function Hall, Sun City Suites, General Santos City last July 16-19, 2024.
The said program was spearheaded by the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) in partnership with Magungaya Mindanao Incorporated (MMI), Nonviolent Peaceforce, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), IOM UN Migration, UNHCR, and Peacebuilding Fund.
Participants underwent lectures on “Importance of EWER”, “EWER Mechanism”, “Security Protocol for Monitoring, Verification, and Reports”, “Gender Sensitivity”, “Basic Human Rights and Civilian Arrest”, “Basic Life Support”, and a series of workshops on becoming part of the advocacy to monitor and evaluate the prevailing peace and security in the region.

The ministry’s dedication to this cause underscores the importance of collective effort in achieving lasting peace and stability in the Bangsamoro.
