The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Strategic Communications Capacity Building (SCCB) Project conducted โ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฑ: ๐ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฃ๐๐ฏ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ข๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐โ in four remote communities in Maguindanao del Sur from April 26-27, 2023.
Over 200 residents of Barangay Lamud and Biarong in South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur as well as in Barangay Lower Dado and Lower Liong of Datu Salibo, Maguindanao del Sur participated in the series of activities. The sessions allowed participants to discuss their experiences with public safety issues and how they tackled them.
The program targets less accessible communities due to security or infrastructure challenges. The Mashuwara Kalilintad series seeks to gather information to encourage community involvement in maintaining peace and order.
Atty. Asgar Mandal, Chief-Special Operations Division of MPOS led the series of activities and highlighted the importance of establishing a society that resists and condemns violence.
