Approximately 50 members of the community from various municipalities of Maguindanao del Norte participated in a dialogue on Community-Based Peace Advocacy on Preventing Rido and Public Order and Safety Advocacy spearheaded by the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) in collaboration with the PNP – PPO Maguindanao del Norte and Iranun Reconciliation Council last October 09, 2024.
PCOL Sultan Salman H. Sapal, Provincial Director of Police Provincial Office, Maguindanao Del Norte, expressed his assurance and commitment to support peace advocacy. “𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺-𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 “𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘰” 𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘶𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦.” He also added that, “𝘛𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴. Meanwhile, one of the participants, Mr. Abdulrahman Tomawis, expressed his gratitude and willingness to be involved in peace advocacies, “𝘕𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘰 𝘢𝘬𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘶𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘰 𝘯𝘪 𝘗𝘊𝘖𝘓. The successful endeavor of MPOS together with its Peace Partners reinforced and signified the steadfast commitment of the Bangsamoro Government towards a prosperous, peaceful, and progressive Bangsamoro.
