The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) capacitated 15 former violent extremists from the Abu Sayaff Group (ASG) on public speaking to strengthen their return to the folds of the law and enlighten them on the accounts, narratives, and testimonies of the efforts of the Government.
The Ministry spearheaded the dialogue for participants with the topics on Public Speaking, Human Rights according to the Qur’an, The Role of Filipino Muslims in Building a Culture of Peace, and The Teaching of Prophet Muhammad (SWT) on Peace, Order, and Good Leadership on December 2-4, 2022 at the Headquarters of 101ST Infantry Brigade, Brgy Tabiawan, Isabela City, Basilan.

“K𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘱𝘰 𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘵𝘪 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘱 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘬 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘬 𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘢 𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘰𝘣𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘰 𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘢𝘯 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘯𝘢 𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘰 𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘯𝘢 𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘢 𝘱𝘸𝘦𝘥𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘭𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘢,” he added.
The former violent extremists, alongside 10 military personnel, concluded the training by presenting their experiences by telling their stories and applying their new learnings and knowledge in public speaking.
The said activity was made possible by the 101ST Infantry Brigade of the 1st Infantry Division, Philippine Army, in partnership and collaboration with the Ministry of Public Order and Safety.
