On March 20, 2023, a Roll-Out on Comprehensive Rido Profiling in BARMM for Maguindanao Provinces was conducted by the Ministry of Public Order and Safety in partnership with Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS) at Darul Aman Function Hall, Barangay Capiton, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte – BARMM.
The Ministry’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Division (ADRD) Community Affairs Officers in Maguindanao spearheaded the activity and emphasized that the comprehensive data gathered will aid in identifying the root cause and impact of conflicts in the community, as well as in capacity development of key personnel and formulation of a policy in addressing rido in the Bangsamoro.
Around 40 individuals and representatives from the Municipal Police Stations of different municipalities of Maguindanao del Sur and del Norte, as well as Salaam Police PNCO Provincial Headquarters participated the activity.
PMSG Ardershir T Kahil of the Maguindanao Police Provincial Office expressed his commitment and services to support the MPOS-BARMM in dealing with rido cases. “𝘕𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘯𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘮𝘪 𝘴𝘢 𝘔𝘗𝘖𝘚 –𝘉𝘈𝘙𝘔𝘔 𝘯𝘢 𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘭𝘢 𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯, 𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮,” he said.
CBCS Project Manager Mr. Alimudin M. Mala commended the BARMM government for its efforts to improve the region. “𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘪-𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪 𝘯𝘢 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘬𝘪𝘵𝘢 𝘯𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘸𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘈𝘙𝘔𝘔 𝘨𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘪 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘶𝘨𝘢𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯,” he said.
Overall, the event was successfully carried out, and the participants gained a better understanding of the project’s objectives and the support that will be provided for the “Comprehensive Rido Profiling in BARMM”. This activity is realized through the Ministry’s major program under the Alternative Dispute Resolution.” This is one of the major programs of the Ministry towards ensuring a safe, secure, and peaceful Bangsamoro.
