Twenty-nine (29) former local insurgents from Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) returned to the folds of the law and turned over their firearms on February 22, 2023 at Brgy. Pigcalagan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte. It was conducted during the “Presentation of the Victims of Terrorist Ideology and Circumstances Program” of the 1st Brigade Combat Team (1BCT) Philippine Army. The Ministry of Public Order and Safety provided Php 5,000 worth of financial assistance to each former local insurgents (FLI).
On February 3, 2023, the same intervention and amount was received by four (4) former local insurgents. It was conducted during the program presentation and change of command ceremony by the 92nd Infantry Battalion at Brgy. Salunayan, Midsayap, North Cotabato.
