Cotabato City, BARMM | Ministry of Public Order and Safety BARMM organized a two-day health and wellness program for its employees dubbed as “MPOS Day” on May 17-18, 2022 at DPWH Covered Court – PMO Maguindanao, Cotabato City.
The program aims to give the ministry’s employees and staff an avenue to imbibe and practice a work-life balance amidst the challenges brought about by the pandemic. Further, promote camaraderie and physical fitness among workmates that is vital in the ministry to deliver its duties and services for the Bangsamoro.
MPOS Director-General Atty. Al-Rashid L. Balt encouraged participants to enjoy and build rapport among colleagues. He said, “I hope mag-enjoy kayo this day at madala natin ang camaraderie at teamwork, hindi lamang dito sa MPOS Day kundi madala rin natin ito sa opisina para mas mapabuti ang ating mga serbisyo.”
The conduct of this activity is also consistent with Republic Act 11036 also known as Mental Health Act as well as the Memorandum Circular (MC) no. 4, series of 2020 of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Mental Health Program in public sector which directs all constitutional bodies, departments, agencies and offices of the National Government to develop an agency mental health program.
The program is composed of team sports and recreation activities such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, and among others. Also, the ministry will provide free massage and foot reflex to its employees to relieve stress and maintain physical health.
