This activity was a continuation of the previous consultations and conferences of local mediators, alternative dispute resolution experts, legal consultants and key actors that started in May 2022.
The conduct of this activity aims to formulate a contextualized policy or bill that will address the challenges on conflict resolutions in the region especially rido or family feud.
MPOS Director-General Atty. Al-Rashid Balt, Atty. Sittie Rhaodda Raniai legal consultant of The Asia Foundation (TAF), Sultan Abdulhamidullah Atar, a respected Local Mediator in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, and key officials of the Ministry’s Home Affairs Services and Alternative Dispute Resolution Division (ADRD) are among the participants in the writeshop.
MPOS is optimistic that the successful enactment of this bill into law will provide a wider avenue in achieving a peaceful and secured community in the Bangsamoro as it will serve as an alternative to settlements and resolutions of all forms of disputes and conflicts.
