Cotabato City| Multi-awarded multimedia and journalism trainers recently guided the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) – BARMM technical workforce through an intensive skill enhancement program entitled “Training on Multimedia and Journalism” held on May 15-16, 2024 at the Alnor Hotel and Convention Center in Cotabato City. The training featured esteemed experts, both of whom have earned recognition as Top 100 Filipinos to Follow on LinkedIn for their knowledge and expertise. Mr. Cleo “Roq” Serevilla, Founder/CEO of NuBrave Academy, and Mr. Cameron Raphael “Cap” Hernandez, Community Founder/Builder of Philippine Graphic Artist (PGA) and Creative Entrepreneurs Network.
Key technical personnel from various sections of the Ministry participated in the training sessions. This training initiative, organized by the Ministry’s Information and Communication Section (ICS), aimed to enhance the skills, techniques, and strategies of the Ministry’s workforce on multimedia and journalism ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality services in an increasingly digital environment.
Mr. Cleo “Roq” Serevilla, acclaimed for his expertise in visual communication and design thinking, introduced to the participants the essential tools on graphic creation and designing such as the message matrix, audience personality slider, brand personality slider, habi-habi- ocho-loco, rock star visual process, and AIDA (attention, interest, desire, action) graphic elements. “𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘱 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴. 𝘐𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮.” Mr. Serevilla said during the session on design thinking. These tools were meticulously presented to equip participants with effective strategies for crafting top-tier graphic designs.
Participants were encouraged to share their insights and experiences, fostering a collaborative learning environment. On the second day, the workshops shifted the focus on public speaking and journalism led by Mr. Cameron Raphael “Cap” Hernandez, a renowned Sales & Digital Marketing Consultant. His sessions helped participants reflect on the essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to excel as public servants. MPOS Chief Administrative Officer-Designate Jalam Sugaran-Lingasa emphasized the significance of the training program for personal and professional development.
