On May 15, 2024, a significant rido settlement ceremony included the notable return of one M16 rifle took place as part of the reconciliation, resolving a conflict between families from Brgy. Upper Cabengbeng and Brgy. Tumahubong both are located in Sumisip Municipality, Basilan. The event was held at the 45th Infantry “Gallant” Battalion in Sitio Camalig, Brgy. Bohe Pahu, Ungkaya Pukan Municipality, Basilan.
The return of the rifle during the settlement ceremony underscored the community’s dedication to peace and reconciliation. LTC Michael P.
