56 volunteers from various community sectors engaged with the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) through the Community Safety and Security Enhancement Project: Capacity Development Training on Early Warning and Early Response (EWER) situated in three pilot barangays of Rajah Buayan namely Panadtaban, Malibpolok, and Baital.
The said training equipped the participants with essential skills and knowledge through a series of workshops and orientations, covering topics such as reporting mechanisms, identifying active, pending, and resolved cases in their communities, an orientation on the EWER structure, and a presentation on the Volunteers Manual.
In his opening remarks, Baital Barangay Chairman, Mohadger A. Lumenda emphasized the importance of collaboration and partnership, “𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺. 𝘛𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴,” Lumeda said.
While Mr. Yusop Noh, one of the participants, expressed his gratitude for the training, stating: “𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴. 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.”
