Davao City | MPOS upskilled its key personnel on the basics of peacebuilding through a training entitled “Reflecting on Peace Practice (RPP) Basics: A Peacebuilding Training for MPOS Employees” held at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Davao City on December 27-29, 2023.
MPOS Minister Hussein P. Muñoz encouraged the key personnel on their significant role in the promotion of peace in the Bangsamoro Region. He said, “𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩. The participants were engaged in a series of enriching workshops designed to highlight the identification of key driving forces, their influence, relationship, and the system dynamics within and among the identified key issues. This constructive process empowered the Ministry to enable the participants to discern the root causes and identify opportunities for positive change.
Mr. Nery Ronatay, Team Lead of Women, Peace and Security, UN Women Philippines and an expert on peacebuilding facilitated and led an insightful discussion as part of the Reflecting on Peace Practice (RPP) Basics training for the Ministry. He thoughtfully delineated the distinctions between peacebuilding and conflict sensitivity in the Ministry’s programs, activities and projects, emphasizing its relationship and influence. The training served as a platform for the Ministry to inspire and empower its workforce, fostering a heightened dedication and commitment. This initiative aimed to propel efforts toward building a future where peace, reconciliation, and reunification thrive within the Bangsamoro Region.
